The McMaster School of Rehabilitation Science (SRS) recognizes that students belonging to equity-deserving groups contribute to our programs in valuable ways which may not always be validated. To amplify these contributions, the SRS is creating awards to recognize the many ways equity-deserving students add value to patient care and rehabilitation.

The School of Rehabilitation Science community is fundraising to establish and grow these awards. Our hope is to reward students for their contributions and reduce financial burdens and barriers so that students can achieve their fullest potential at McMaster.

Interested students belonging to equity-deserving groups must be enrolled in one of the programs in SRS, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Rehabilitation Science, and Master of Health Management, and are required to submit a 500-word statement describing their participation in one of these areas: research activity, innovative community outreach, clinical care, or exceptional engagement in campus life or community. One letter of support (maximum one page) is also required. Students can self-nominate or be nominated by a peer, faculty, staff, or tutor.

For every dollar donated, SRS has committed to providing matching funds.
