New students at McMaster have a lot to look forward to in September. Here at the Alumni Association, we want to make sure that you are prepared and excited for your journey at Mac to begin. For that reason, we offer opportunities and programs to get you ready for the fall. See you soon!
Student Event Sponsorship
The McMaster Alumni Association is committed to supporting student programs and initiatives. We know how difficult it is for students to find the resources necessary to support their organizations' programming, that is why the Alumni Association offers sponsorship funds to students, the application process is simple. Click here
and submit your application.
Not only can the Alumni Association offer financial support, however some student groups can take advantage of the Alumni House as an event location free of charge. Simply email Scott Mallon at [email protected]
to inquire about this unique space on campus and if it can be an appropriate venue for your event!
Hungry? On campus early? Hungry for bagels? Enjoy bagels? Coffee, maybe? If any of these totally unrelated questions peaked your interest then boy do we have something for you! It's Welcome Wednesdays! Join the McMaster Alumni Association on the third Wednesday of every month for a free bagel breakfast! Come on out to the Alumni House (located behind Bates Residence) to dabble in a morning spread that includes bagels (obvi), coffee (yes please), donuts, scones, and some delightful juices! Whether you are looking to meet new people, find out more about what we do, or simply relax with some free food, everyone is welcome. Because we all know: you're not you when you're hungry!
Life After Mac
As your time at McMaster winds down there are going to be a lot things swarming around inside your head. What am I going to do next year? How do I get a job? Do I want to go to grad school? While we don't have the answers to these questions, we definitely want to help you find your way after Mac. This program offers graduating students have everything they need to succeed in their final semester at Mac and also once they have graduated. There is career advice, networking, mentorship opportunities, and, sometimes, it is as simple as a drink with some friends to unwind heading into the final stretch.
Student Relations Committee
There is an
abundance of opportunities at McMaster for students of all backgrounds
to get involved. Although the variety of programs, events and
organizations is a good thing, it can be overwhelming to search through
them all to find the right one for you. The Student Relations
Committee is a collaborative effort between a variety of different
University Departments and Student Organizations to find new and
exciting ways to engage students. Throughout the year we will not only
plan exciting events and activities, but we will also send out regular
newsletters informing students of all the opportunities at McMaster for
students in all areas.

tuned for updates on student events and engagement opportunities!
Grad Class Gift
The Grad Class Gift is a student-lead project that encourages graduating students to make a financial contribution to McMaster in their final year of study, in addition to educating students about the importance of alumni support and the impact it has on the university. In making a gift, students leave their mark on McMaster by contributing to an important faculty or department project, while honouring those who made their experience great.
