(A) Supporting Forward with Integrity:
To contribute to the University’s priorities of enhanced community involvement and experiential learning.
(Community to be defined as communities where concentrations of alumni reside – prioritized according to concentration of alumni: Hamilton, centres across Canada and select international locations).
- Networking: Conduct review and research into best practices for a purposeful networking program connecting students, alumni, employers and community partners. The current Mentorlinks and Job Shadowing programs will be evaluated in the course of the review.
Further, to encourage alumni to participate as a resource for the community, we will increase meaningful service opportunities for alumni in their communities.(MacServe programming for alumni).
- Community Engagement: establish alumni as an active resource in the community as well as a resource for the community. By partnering with the established working group out of the President’s office, we will identify opportunities for alumni to facilitate the delivery of experiential learning and other community engagement opportunities.
