Assessing your Impact vs Your Intent (personality styles)

Session One is now at capacity.  Please join us for Sessions Two and/or Three over the next few weeks.

This year the McMaster Alumni Association is pleased to partner with the Mohawk Alumni Association to offer students, graduates, and members of the Hamilton Community, a professional development series that provides fundamental soft skills necessary for today's workforce that is affordable and of high quality.

The theme of the series, Growing Your Soft Skills, aims to assist students and new graduates entering the workforce and seasoned graduates looking to improve their marketability.  The speaker of this series is Melanie Sodtka, BA, MBA, CPCC. Melanie is a Business Coach, Certified Facilitator and a Professor and Program Coordinator for Mohawk College’s McKeil School of Business, as well a Partner of Latitude Business Group

The series is divided into three sessions being held on three consecutive Wednesdays.  Join us for all three sessions or just one or two (please register separately for each session).


Session Two:
May 3rd - What's your Emotional Intelligence Score? (EQ)

Session Three:
 May 10th – Mindfulness for Improved Focus and Productivity

- Mohawk College Fennell campus

About the speaker:

Over the years Melanie Sodtka has built up a reputation as a leading business coach and facilitator who has worked with individual and teams in a variety of industries. Her specialization lies in creating program and course designs that meet the specific business and learning objectives of her clients, while catering to the various learning styles of participant groups. Her contributions in business and to the community was recognized in 2016 when she was named a recipient of the 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Awards, presented by Business Link Media Group, which recognize Hamilton’s next generation of business leaders.

In Melanie’s Consulting and Coaching roles she has worked with organizations such as IAMGOLD, Niagara Catholic District School Board, The John Howard Society, Angle One Network, CSN, City of Hamilton, Toronto Community Housing as well as with several entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Mohawk College and Latitude Business Group Melanie held Management positions in both Marketing and Human Resources for General Mills Canada for over 10 years.
