Learn it, Build it, Create it

Hands-on online lessons

In partnership with McMaster Athletics & Recreation, these sessions will show you how to build something using a few household items and a sense of creativity!

ONLINE COMMUNITIES

Mentoring

McMaster Alumni & Partners Advisor Network

Looking to get or give advice on career development? Look no further. Join the McMaster Alumni & Partners Advisor Network and begin exploring an extensive group of people who can help you and whom you can help. It's simple: Join the network with just a few clicks. Connect for mock interviews, resume critiques, or career conversations. Use the Network for every element of the process including booking, calling, and providing feedback. Then, spread the word!

Virtual Networking

Opportunities to reconnect with classmates from Mac

Virtual events enable you to make connections from wherever you are: home, office, library, even if you’re traveling. During these events, you will be paired with McMaster alumni and/or students for several short, timed chats (using a browser-based messenger system) that will allow you to make a connection, exchange contact information and build your network. Watch our event listings for virtual networking events geared to specific fields of work; career and job search topics; geographic location or general interest. Virtual events are a lot of fun and less intimidating than face to face networking. We try to make it easy for participants by giving suggested conversation starters and questions to pose so that you make the most of your time chatting. Give it a try and make a new MAC connection!

Question of the Week Club

We send you one question a week. You take two minutes to answer.

The Question of the Week Club has been engaging alumni in a collective conversation for a couple of years now, resulting in innumerable heart- warming, wise and witty responses! The impetus for the idea is to offer alumni a way to hear from each other, with the hope that this exchange of anonymous answers about life and work can build community and make us feel less alone in the world. Our aim is to deliver a weekly question that is intriguing or funny to provide a moment of delight in your week. Check out the QOTW Club Blog to see answers sent in by members each week. And sign up to be a member at any time!

McMaster Alumni Book Club

ENRICH YOUR KNOWLEDGE WITH FELLOW ALUMNI AND A BOOK

In this online community, alumni, students and friends can connect with each other and enjoy books related to lifelong learning, social issues, literature, psychology, and other user-submitted ideas. There is no cost to participate – you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy. We'll connect through a private online forum to discuss the current book and network. Join the club now.
