University Club

For over forty years, the University Club has been a focal point for intellectual, cultural and social interaction on campus for faculty, staff and alumni of McMaster University. The Club is set in the historic core of your alma mater and offers its members and their invited guests unmatched vistas of the Faculty Hollow and bordering Royal Botanical Gardens.

Alumni are encouraged and invited to apply for membership to the University Club and stay connected to campus in style! The Club is open daily, Monday to Friday, for regular luncheon and dinner service. The Club offers it members a very diverse food and beverage programme, including many regularly scheduled special member events throughout the year, such as: Yuletide Christmas Luncheons Buffets, Lobster & Steak Nights, Food and Wine Experiences, Oyster Nights, and Fireside Christmas Dinners. Members of the Club also have the added benefit of reserving our historic venue to host weddings ceremonies and receptions, anniversary celebrations, conferences or meetings in our private and refined atmosphere. University Club members also retain reciprocal privileges at more than one hundred university and college clubs worldwide.

2016-2017 Trial Membership Offer


 The University Club is offering trial membership for alumni (no membership fees, until July 1, 2017). This offer does not apply to current members.

Reciprocal arrangement with Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club 

  • Members are permitted to use Dundas Valley for dining privileges, and are permitted to play golf on their "short course"(subject to green fee)
  • The University Club has negotiated a deal with Dundas Valley for 2016. Dundas Valley is offering golf membership to University Club members at no initiation fee; and, in addition, each University Club member who takes out a gold membership will receive 3 complimentary green fees and golf cart rentals. If you golf, thinking of taking up the sport and/or have children who are interested in golf, this is a great time to take advantage of this offer.
